N'Golo Kante is reportedly close to signing a pre-contract agreement to sign for Barcelona on a free transfer at the end of the season. It seems that Chelsea has decided to part ways with Kante, despite having surgery on his problematic hamstring injury which could solve his problems.

Chelsea's backup plan is revealed if Josko Gvardiol chase does not happen. Chelsea has Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen identified as a cheaper alternative option. The left-footed center-back is also 20 years old and has already played over 100 times for club and country.

Youri Tielemens is also being linked with a move to Chelsea who face competition from Arsenal for his signature. The 25 year old Leicester City midfielder is touted to leave at the end of the season with his contract expiring at the end of next season, and no indication that he wants to extend where he is.

Alexis Mac Allister has been talking recently of Graham Potter and now the expected links to Chelsea are being made. The Argentine cup winner was outstanding in the World Cup and had already impressed with Brighton in the Premier League. Could Graham Potter and Chelsea head back to Potter's old side to try and get a deal done for the creative midfielder we have been searching for? Or will we turn to Tielemens instead?
