Petr Cech ended his playing career at the end of the 2018/19 season. He spent 11 seasons at Chelsea. During this period, he played in 333 matches in the Premier League.
Cech set a club record for the number of clean sheets. For this achievement, he was nicknamed "Mr Zero" by the fans. Cech also became a key player for the Blues in his first season with the team, conceding just 13 goals in 35 Premier League games. In 2006, he almost died after a hard collision with Stephen Hunt, but recovered from a skull fracture, put on a protective helmet and returned to the field.
In the 2011/12 Champions League final, he saved two penalty kicks per game and helped Chelsea win the trophy - the only one in the history of the club.
At Chelsea, Cech won four league titles, two of them in a row (seasons 2004/05 and 2005/06). In addition, Cech won the Champions League and Europa League, four Cups and two FA Super Cups, three League Cups.
