Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly stepped up in his interest in Bayern Munich star Niklas Sule, as he attempts to bolster his defensive ranks in the summer transfer window. Indeed, it is understand Tuchel is already in talks with Chelsea's transfer chief Marina Granovskaia over a potential deal.

 
Centre-back Antonio Rudiger has admitted that he has already "had contact" with out-of-contract Bayern Munich defender David Alaba as Chelsea continue to be linked with a move for his services. The Austrian international, who can operate at either centre-back or left-back, is out-of-contract at Bayern this summer and has already confirmed that he will not be signing a new contract.
