The Premier League and Football Clubs will decide, based on Government advice, whether to restart and complete the current Premier League season from the middle of June for the next five to six weeks. If that happens can Chelsea maintain their top four position with our current squad and qualify for the Champions League next season?

Let's start by saying this, it would be a HUGE achievement for Frank Lampard, his coaching staff and for the players, to check out the latest odds on Chelsea to do so at olybet.eu . To deal with Eden Hazard and David Luiz leaving (two big influences at the club), to deal with the transfer ban and keep faith with the youngsters from the academy and to work through the tough times we have had this season with injuries and poor performances, it really would be such an amazing job.
The problem that we have now is the time we haven't seen any football due to the postponement of the game due to COVID19. During that time the players can only work on fitness levels, they lose their match fitness which will take at least three or four games to get back.
Not only that but our rivals for the top four this season have had a chance for their injured players to recover. In any normal circumstances, the likes of Harry Kane, Son and others would have missed the remainder of the season weakening their chances. Now, with the extended break, they have had a second chance to play with strengthens their options.
Looking at our remaining fixtures, we have more than a chance. The games due to be played if the Premier League gives the go ahead are as follows (Premier League Only):
Aston Villa (A)
Manchester City (H)
West Ham (A)
Watford (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Sheffield United (A)
Norwich (H)
Liverpool (A)
Wolves (H)
Obviously the games against Manchester City and Liverpool are the standout fixtures, but the others in my view are more than favourable for us if we are at full strength. To be completed amongst these games are the Champions League second leg against Bayern Munich away and Leicester City away in the FA Cup. Both are extremely important competitions to our football club but the Premier League has to be the priority.
The good thing about all this is that every single Premier League team will have the same issues regarding match fitness and the City game comes at the perfect time in my view. Plenty of people are predicting that we will see some unusual results in the early weeks of the season if it does continue I agree 100%.
The good thing about all this is the fact that we have it in our own hands to get out there and to get the job done. We are currently not reliant on anyone else getting a result. Add Wolves and Sheffield United to the main two fixtures as the standout games, and if we can pick up two wins and two draws we should be in a good position as long as we also deliver the right performance/result in the other games.
I believe we are good enough and have enough quality about us to finish in the top four. What do you think?
