Chelsea were beaten 1-2 by Liverpool this afternoon at Stamford Bridge and this is my reaction to the game as soon as I got home.
Our biggest problem this season so far is the fact that we cannot defend and our averaging two goals conceded per game! Today it was stupid decisions to give away free-kicks on the edge of our box and our inability to defend those set pieces that has cost us.
Compound that with both Andreas Christensen and Emerson picking up first-half injuries that forced them off, VAR disallowing a goal from Cesar Azpilicueta and Tammy missing a chance one-on-one with the Keeper - it didn't look like it was going to be our day at half-time.
However, a much better second half performance and a wonder goal from N'Golo Kante lifted our spirits but lacking that killer ball or composure in front of goal proved to be the difference at full-time.
Frank Lampard is still looking for his first win at Stamford Bridge as a Manager and will not be happy with the goals we conceded.
