The result this weekend against Sheffield United at home was
disappointing and the second successive draw at Stamford Bridge in our opening
two Premier League games. With an additional defeat at Manchester United and
the only highlight being the win over Norwich, I want to read your opinion on
Frank Lampard and Chelsea so far.
As with anything to do with Chelsea, there is always plenty
of focus on our club. Unfortunately, over the past twelve months there have
been an unsavory section of supporters across social media who have caused
numerous arguments and have made quite simply ridiculous comments about
individuals, the management and the team in general which has become a real
concern. If you now add racism to all this and it’s shocking as to what these keyboard
warriors can achieve. Never before have we seen pure hatred on such a scale and
as you can imagine, these same individuals are at it again enticing the same
against the players now. I strongly advise all of you to ignore it and block
these people and focus on Chelsea or online casinos in Australia instead.
So to our performances and results so far and being honest
it is disappointing the amount of points we have dropped with the number of
goals we have conceded. Yes, there have been individual mistakes which have
cost us but as Frank Lampard has stated on numerous occasions – we defend and
we attack as a team. It’s important that we do not single out any individuals,
it’s important that we focus on the collective right now. Let’s not forget,
Toni Rudiger will return to the fold after the international break with N’Golo
Kante who has been sorely missed in the defensive phase. With both being
implemented back into the side it should steady the ship and give everyone in
the team a lift.
Another player worth noting is Reece James who is due to
return to full fitness and will provide additional competition for places.
Cesar Azpilicueta has become the target for criticism with some of the goals we
have conceded wrongly or rightly so but it’s clear as with every other position
in the team, competition has to be healthy.
It’s also important to note the players we have had missing
due to long-term injuries who would have already featured under Frank Lampard
this season but have cast their eyes at casinoza. We have already mentioned Toni Rudiger, Reece James and the
ongoing issue with N’Golo Kante’s ankle, now if you add to that Ruben
Loftus-Cheek, Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi you can see that when all are
match-fit and taking a full part in Frank Lampard’s thinking on a game-to-game
basis – Chelsea will be stronger.
Despite all this, there has been plenty of positives for me
this season so far. The way we are playing now going forward, the form of the
likes of Emerson, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and Pedro had been good, now add the
performances of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic, it’s
important that we focus on the positives. If we had everyone available playing
and had the same level of performance and dropped points then it would be an
issue.
As I said, it’s not an ideal points total after four games
and our defence is an issue but, there is plenty to be positive about as we
head into the international break.
