Loic Remy has re-iterated his desire to remain at Chelsea to see out the final year of his contract but will be sold as soon as we can sign another striker.
The French forward has been included in Chelsea's 25-man squad that travelled to China for our pre season tour of the Far East starting against Arsenal on Saturday, However it's clear that it's only because we literally haven't got any other available first team strikers in addition to Michy Batshuayi.
There are continued reports of Chelsea being linked with a big money move for a striker as they look to replace Diego Costa, as they are doing so, they have made it clear to Loic Remy that he does not feature in Antonio Conte's long-term plans.
There are reports doing the rounds at the moment that Everton are Marseille are more than interested in securing the services of the 30-year-old striker who had been a success in the Premier League previously having played for Newcastle and QPR. Having signed for Chelsea for £10m back in 2014, the striker has only made 32 Premier League appearances which has been a real disappointment.
Chelsea will do well to recoup anywhere near the amount they paid for him back then but will look to sell in the coming weeks rather than let his contract run down to leave for nothing next summer.
It's a shame really, he is a good striker but in my view, not at the levels expected now at Chelsea.
