John Terry has confirmed that he intends to carry on playing beyond this season but where do we think he will end up? Was his much talked about appearance at the Bridge on Sunday his last in a Chelsea shirt or will we see one final swansong at Wembley in the FA Cup Final?
It's been less than a week since JT played his final game at Stamford Bridge and the debates up and down the country that followed. As standard, he has continued to train hard this week as Antonio Conte prepares for Arsenal tomorrow and has once again made himself more than available to play at any stage if selected.
I personally cannot see him starting the game as I believe that despite resting Diego Costa and Eden Hazard to the bench against Tottenham in the semi-final, Conte will want to play he his full strength team against a weakened Arsenal to get the job done. For sentimental reasons it seems as though JT would be named on the bench to come on late in the game to finish off his career at Chelsea.
So what of JT and his next move? You would have to imagine that it would be hard for him to join another Premier League club but then again, we all know of his desire and hunger for the game. Clubs such as Bournemouth and Swansea have already expressed an interest in securing his services as both believe that his experience and leadership qualities would improve the options they both currently have.
Then there is the riches on offer in China. Could we see JT take the plunge and move to the far east for a couple of seasons? I am not so sure as he would be the first to admit that he doesn't need to move anywhere purely for money.
I have a feeling that he could end up following Frank Lampard and moving to the MLS in the USA. Their league is growing and the standard is getting better all the time so you would have to see it as an appealing move if he was given the chance.
Whatever happens, we could never ever thank him enough for what he has given us. He deserves to do exactly as he wants because if anyone deserves it, he does. Let's hope he is involved in the FA Cup Final at some stage!
What do you think about Saturday and where do you think his next move will be?
