I am certain that the majority of the Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge this afternoon will forgive and forget to get behind a player that we have taken to our hearts from the moment he arrived at the club. However, there will always be those people that like to vent their frustrations, to make their feelings known and that's just something that will have to be accepted.
In light of this happening, Antonio Conte had appealed to the Chelsea fans and has stated that it would not be right to do so. He said:
“I don't think this situation can happen. It's not right, it's not right.
Our fans are really important, always. Because our fans are great. They push a lot when we play at home. They push a lot when we play away. And, for us, for me, they are the 12th player on the pitch.
I hope to continue in this way, to push a lot our team, my players, in every moment of the game. They are a really important part for us to try and win and try and continue to fight for the title.” - Source: The Telegraph.
To echo the manager here, we need to stick together in what coming up is the most important time of the season. Yes, I am as frustrated with the whole Diego Costa situation that has come about in recent weeks but it isn't the first time Costa has been linked with a move away from Chelsea is it?
However, when he plays for us he is 100% committed, playing with passion and most importantly for the manager, for his team mates, for the shirt and for the supporters.
A Chelsea team with Diego Costa in it is better than one without him. "Diego, Diego, Diego!"
