Newcastle in for Chelsea Midfielder on loan. Antonio Conte wants him to play in the Premier League.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is someone who has become the subject of intense transfer speculation when the window opens tomorrow. Newcastle are prepared to rival West Ham to sign him on loan until the end of the season.

As reported on this Blog a week or so ago, it has been reported that Slaven Bilic is looking to sign the young Chelsea midfielder on loan to bolster the options he has available in his squad in the transfer window but now faces competition from Rafa Benitez at Newcastle who would more or less guarantee RLC regular playing time.

The stumbling block for the Geordie's appears to be Antonio Conte who would be prepared to release RLC on loan but only to another top flight club who would be able to offer him the same. In my opinion West Ham would do that as I do not see that they have another box-to-box midfielder within their ranks and it will be interesting to see what happens in the next few days.

Newcastle is a good option for RLC as they would offer him regular playing time as they look to add to their squad to improve their own options as they make a challenge for promotion back into the top flight at the first time of asking.

One thing is certain, he needs regular football and that needs to happen as quickly as possible otherwise it would be a complete waste of a season for him. He isn't going to be given that at Chelsea so a deal MUST be done.
