Chelsea are currently on a sensational run of form with twelve wins from twelve games and Eden Hazard believes this is the best Chelsea team he has played in. I'm asking if you agree?
Our current run of form has been breathtaking, conceding just two goals while scoring twenty-eight and has taken us to the top of the Premier League and we currently sit six points clear of second placed Liverpool.
There has been plenty of opinion written and spoken on TV about Antonio Conte and of his Chelsea team but it's always interesting to hear the opinion of someone on the inside and especially one of the players.
So to Eden Hazard and his bold statement that is sure to start plenty of debate amongst the Chelsea fans around the world. Having played for Jose Mourinho in our title winning season in 2014-15 winning the Premier League's Players Player of the Year and now for Antonio Conte since he joined the club in the summer, Hazard believes that THIS team is better and aimed a dig at Jose Mourinho in the process.
When asked if this is the best Chelsea team he has featured in he responded by saying:
"Yes because we win every game! We are full of confidence.
We try to do something that we didn't do in the past. We score some goals.
We feel good. We are full of confidence. We take game after game and try to win every game
We don't look at records but if we can make history in this club we will. It's not only about Chelsea, this league.
This league is very difficult. Every game we try to win.
But now the opponents try to give everything because they want to be first. Now we are first and everyone wants to beat us." - Source: SkySports.
Whether or not that was said tongue in-cheek or not, the comment that we score some goals had made plenty of us chuckle and believe that it is a dig at our old manager. The fact it that he isn't lying is he!?
You look at the demands of the current manager and he wants the players to continue to work hard, to continue to play at a high tempo and to continue to attack until the very last minute and so far, since the tactical change, it has worked.
We have a big game tomorrow against Stoke to equal the record that Arsenal set back in the 2001-2002 season and then we turn our attention to yet another massive test away to Tottenham.
Chelsea are playing with confidence and after last season, it's so good to see. As for Eden Hazard? Surely he's playing even better than he did in that title winning season?
