Antonio Conte to spend money from the Oscar sale but who should he sign?

Reports in the media are stating that Antonio Conte is free to spend the monies received from the sale of Oscar. I am asking Chelsea fans who they believe we should be looking to sign?

It's clear that Chelsea need a midfield replacement and with reports that John Obi Mikel is free to leave next month, Chelsea are being been linked with two players in recent days and both offer something very different in the midfield - James Rodriguez and Marco Verratti.

James Rodriguez. 

Chelsea have been linked with the Colombian James Rodriguez in recent weeks with reports stating that we are prepared to battle Jose Mourinho at Manchester United for him and are prepared to pay as much as £75m.

For me personally I think it's ridiculous. This is a player that cannot get into the Real Madrid team at the minute so why on earth would we be willing to pay such a huge amount of money? Also, an it's important to note, he is a creative midfield player and forgive me if I am wrong, but have we not just sold a creative player in Oscar who is of the same style and he could not fit into our team in the 3-4-3 formation?

Don't get me wrong here, it's obvious he is a great talent but the fact that Jose Mourinho has now switched his formation to 4-3-3, I would expect Rodriguez to sign for United in January.

Marco Verratti.  

Now this is a player I believe that Antonio Conte would bite your hand off to sign. The midfield pairing of Kante and Matic is good and has worked really, really well for us in this eleven game winning run. However, imagine Verratti playing next to Kante and it would take the midfield combination to the next level in my view.

I believe it will be difficult to try and tempt PSG into selling the hard working midfielder who has also repeatedly stated that he is more than happy in Paris who intention of leaving.

Verratti has similar qualities as Kante and works so hard in the middle of midfield as we have experienced in the Champions League games we have played against him. He would be someone that fits into what Conte is looking for as he continues to build a team to challenge for the Premier League title and beyond.
