Without question, Chelsea are not going to listen to any interest for Diego Costa as he has demonstrated that he is one of the best strikers in the world right now based on form and his overall performances. His willingness to put the effort in for the manager and his team mates is sensational and if you add his goals to his assists this season, he has become the complete centre forward and one of the best in our League.
Time and time again we hear that Atletico Madrid have tried to re-sign him, we hear so called rumours that the player wants to return to Spain and La Liga because he has struggled to come to terms with the language and life in England.
As we know, Chelsea have stood firm throughout the period of time that Costa has been here and have made it clear that they have no intention of selling. How many times have we seen Costa at training laughing and joking? There is no way that he isn't settled to life here and his performances on the pitch demonstrate that.
It's no wonder that Chelsea are preparing to offer him a new extension to his contract to tie him down here for longer. If I was working behind the scenes, I would be virtually begging him to sign as quickly as possible.
Don't get me wrong here, I also have massive respect for Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane but, if you look at the overall contribution in games, when I say that I am referring to closing people down, making runs off the ball to create space, Costa is different class.
Inter Milan maybe preparing a £50m offer for Diego Costa but it will fall on deaf ears, even if they doubled their offer I could not see Chelsea willing to do business.
Diego Costa is a Chelsea player and hopefully for many years to come!
Diego! Diego! Diego!
