It seems as though there is not a transfer window that goes by of late without Oscar being the subject of intense speculation surrounding his Chelsea future.
This time around however; there could be some substance in reports that Antonio Conte is prepared to listen to offers for the 25 year-old playmaker who has fallen out of favour since the tactical change was made to our new 3-4-3 formation.
We have seen in previous windows that Oscar has been approached with a move to China and offered huge money to join his friend and ex-Chelsea midfielder Ramires but to his credit turned it down.
Now, with reports that he is available this time around, the Chinese are sure to be back in for him and it will be interesting to see if, now that his situation has changed here, if he would be interested?
The majority of report and speculation that has recently appeared has indicated that Oscar would like to remain in Europe and would favour a move to Italy with the likes of Inter Milan interested. However, I am sure that there would be plenty of top European clubs interested in his services if he is to be sold by Chelsea. The one thing I would say is that I would doubt that Chelsea would want to do business with any other Premier League club however, as we have seen with Juan Mata’s move to Manchester United, I would not rule out anything at this stage.
It’s a shame for Oscar if he has been told that he is not part of the manager’s plans but I guess that’s Football. Every manager is different and now that Antonio Conte seems to have settled on the right formation for his Chelsea team moving forward, some big names will have no choice but to look elsewhere for regular first team football.
Oscar still has his best years ahead of him and I really, really rate him as a top, top talent. I just hope if we sell him, it does not come back to bite us!
What do you think of the Oscar reports? Do you think he fits in with the new tactical system?
