Chelsea v Manchester United – The Chelsea defence versus the Manchester United attack!

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will lead the line for Manchester United and it will be interesting to see if Antonio Conte sticks with the same back three.

Plenty has been written about Antonio Conte’s decision to change to a back three after he admitted that Chelsea conceded far too many goals in the previous six games. With John Terry available and passed fit for the game despite reports on Social Media to state otherwise, I would be tempted to play him in this one with both he and David Luiz to deal with the big Swedish Striker.

Marcus Rashford is an obvious danger man for United on the left hand side but I am more than comfortable with Cesar Azpilicueta looking after him. We await to see who will play on the right hand side.

The way Chelsea are playing now and the confidence they all seem to have in the new approach, I am more than confident in our ability to deal with the Ibrahimovic threat.

The danger for us in this one could be whomever Mourinho decides to play as the number ten in support of Zlatan. Will he decide to play Paul Pogba further forward as he did against Liverpool or could someone like Juan Mata get the nod against his former side?

I really, really like our wingbacks at the moment with Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses playing really well. These two could be key in the outcome of the game as you would like to think that we could use both to force Manchester United backwards to extend the space between Zlatan and his Midfield.

If you had asked me three weeks ago, I would have been nervous and apprehensive about this one but now, with the change of formation and the subsequent improvements in our performances, I am more than confident that we can keep another clean sheet in this one!
