Without question, Eden Hazard has come back from his injury problems with intent to prove people wrong and my god he has done that in the last few games. His goal against Liverpool last night is right up there with the best he has ever scored for Chelsea!
Hazard has a swagger about his game again, the same body language and attitude to his opponents as if to say "you can try to stop me but you can't!" and it shows big time. He is back and showing the form of last season when he played an instrumental part in Chelsea winning the Premier League title for the first time in five years.
Just look at this below if you need any evidence of that fact. This last night was quite simply outstanding:
Speaking after the game when asked where he has been all season after a man of the match performance like that last night, Hazard responded by saying:
"Everybody's been waiting a long season for me to be at this level, but now I'm close to my best performance. I hope I can stay like this forever!
Mixed emotions but in the end we are not happy, because we came here to win the game. We played fantastically for 89 minutes and then we conceded a goal. We are unlucky but everyone saw the good side of Chelsea tonight.
(Asked of his fantastic goal) It's not special because we didn't win! It's always nice to score but it would be better not to and win the game."
If only we had him like that all season without question we would finish higher than a possible 9th depending on what happens on Sunday with Stoke sitting just a point behind us.
Last night, Eden Hazard was outstanding and rightly awarded Man of the Match for his performance. Liverpool found it hard to cope with him all night long. I sincerely hope he is here next season!
What do you people think of his goal and his overall performance?
