Jose Mourinho is set to be appointed the next Manchester United boss despite Louis Van Gaal winning United's first silverware since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. Chelsea fans have made their feelings known on social media this weekend but who cares seriously.
I love Jose Mourinho as much as the next person for where he took out Football club and for the success he brought to us. He will go down in our history as one of, if not the best and no one will ever take that away.
However, he has moved on and it's important that as a Football Club this summer, that Chelsea do the same because remember this, despite his affection for the supporters and ours for him, when he comes here with his Manchester United side next season, he will be the same as he always is, he will be determined to beat us and not give a damn about anything else during those ninety minutes! I would bet that he would even go as far as to celebrate in a message to the Chelsea board if they score or he beats us.
Jose Mourinho is gone from Chelsea and I doubt he would ever come back for a third time so it's about time we all get used to that. Managers and players come and go but there are only two things that remain constant at Chelsea and that's the club itself and the supporters.
Who's to say that Mourinho will have the same level of success at United as he has had everywhere else he has been especially next season? Just look at how strong our league already is BEFORE the vast amounts of new TV money comes into play from next season onwards.
In addition you have the likes of Guardiola, Wenger, Pochettino, Klopp, Ranieri and our new boss Antonio Conte who will be doing everything they can to spoil the party.
We need to forget about Jose Mourinho and focus on Antonio Conte as quickly as possible. This guy is coming into a club with a massive task of taking us back to where we need to be and he needs the support of everyone.
Let's just say this when it comes to Mourinho and people we have held in the highest esteem previously. Think back to when Gus Poyet was playing and scoring plenty of goals from midfield, we never thought we would be able to replace him - We did with Frank Lampard. Think back to when Jose Mourinho left - Carlo Ancelotti won the double and Roberto Di Matteo won the FA Cup and Champions League.
The point I am trying to make is that someone else could come along and do even better so why can't that now be Antonio Conte? Think of all the domestic managerial disputes in the press this year between the likes of Mourinho, Wenger and Guardiola. Antonio Conte will hopefully go about his business quietly looking to get the best out of his players to let his talking be done on the pitch.
Jose Mourinho moves on and football moves on. It's important that Chelsea Football Club and it's supporters do exactly the same!
