Chelsea U19's reclaim their UEFA Youth League title!

Chelsea have the best Academy in Europe and it's has been demonstrated for two years running as our Under 19's beat Paris Saint Germain 2-1 yesterday making it back-to-back European titles.

It's a truly fantastic achievement and a credit to everyone involved in the Academy. Plenty of focus has been on how awful our first team have been this season but no one can argue with what the club has been able to produce over the last few seasons.

Title Wins, Cup Wins and European Cup wins, the results speak for themselves and it's time for our club to take a serious look at players such as Kasey Palmer who scored the winner in this one yesterday. Unbelievable talent and someone that has to be knocking at the door in the summer.

As with anything positive, there will be plenty of negatives from the press with fingers being pointed at exactly how many of these players are likely to make it here which I guess is fair point.

It's the one blot on Roman Abramovich's record at this club since he took over in 2003, we have not produced enough players that have stepped into the first team on a regular basis. We have made a start with the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Bertrand Traore in recent weeks but there MUST be more that are given opportunities here.

Congratulations to the boys and to the everyone connected with the Academy. You guys are doing your job, let's hope all that hard work is rewarded next season and beyond.
