West Ham travel across London on Saturday to Stamford Bridge and I am not looking forward to this one at all. If any of you follow rituals for good luck I suggest you do them twice! After a dreadful week last week, the East Londoners could inflict a killer blow that could end our hopes of a Europa League spot.
You have to hand it to West Ham. They have invested their money wisely in players that not many people were aware of, besides Payet, there are no world class/standout names but a group of players willing to work for the manager and each other; Something we know is vitally important this season more than any other.
Two weeks ago Chelsea were flying, unbeaten, playing with confidence and looking a match for anyone in the League but what a difference three games makes to all that with points dropped against Stoke followed by two successive defeats to PSG and Everton which put an end to our season in March.
Chelsea fans are divided as how to approach the run in for these final weeks of the season. Some suggest going all out to try and nick sixth place which will qualify for the Europa League after Man City won the League Cup, where as some argue that now is as good a time as any to play the kids and leave the potential summer departures at home. Where do you stand?
This is a London Derby and as tasty as it can still be, I just wonder just how much desire the Chelsea players have remaining now. One thing is for sure, we need to match the "Hammers" because if we don't we could see ourselves beaten again after some impressive displays away from home from the visitors this season.
Diego Costa is out suspended, Eden Hazard injured but JT is available again. Is now also the chance that Alexandre Pato has been waiting for with him possibly given the chance to start this one?
Maybe I will feel different on match-day but I can't help the way I feel about the game now. I just wondered if there are others out there that feel the same!?
I'd rather the season is over now!
