For Alexandre Pato it must be a nightmare because having signed for Chelsea on loan in January declaring it as "a dream", you have had to wait for month before you are anywhere near fit to play. Now surely he must be ready but when would YOU give him his chance?
We have seen the images of Pato in training and we have seen various Social Media clips of him in and around London as he experiences our City first-hand. However, it's that clip above that stands out as you get the impression that he cannot wait to pull on the Chelsea shirt for the first time and step out at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are now approaching a busy period with three Premier League games in the space of a week. We travel to Southampton on Saturday, travel to Norwich on Tuesday night then face Stoke at Stamford Bridge the following Saturday. PSG then come to the Bridge on Weds 9th March, followed by Everton away in the FA Cup.
Is there any of these games that you give Pato some involvement to start with and then even a start to get him up and running as quickly as possible? I am thinking, despite Bertrand Traore's impressive recent scoring exploits, a chance as a substitute on Saturday with a view to starting against Norwich away giving Diego Costa a chance to rest up because let's face it, he has been battling hard up top on his own for most of the season so far and we will need him for PSG and for the FA Cup.
It's clear that Guus Hiddink doesn't fancy Loic Remy with a failed last minute attempt to ship him off to Leicester in the January transfer window and as stated, it seems that Traore is now ahead of him in the managers plans.
To have Alexandre Pato fit and raring to go only improves the options available to the manager ahead of this weekend and I wouldn't be surprised to see Pato featured quite heavily in the coming weeks.
What do you think?
