DAVID LUIZ: "I know how Chelsea play, they won't come and just attack at us."

This first leg in Paris is a huge game for both Chelsea and Paris St Germain and for David Luiz in particular, it's a special occasion. He has been quick to play down Chelsea's league position heading into this one.

He said:

“We have always said Chelsea’s form in the league means nothing in these two games. They are very capable in Europe, and they will be motivated for these two games.

It is important to get a good first result in Paris. I know how Chelsea play, they won't come and just attack at us.

They will be patient, let us attack, and then try and hurt us on the break. They have the players capable of doing this, so we must be careful.”

His opinion is probably the opinion of most people looking at this game tonight with Chelsea heading into Paris. Laurent Blanc has spoken of setting his team up to dominate possession and to impose their game on us and Luiz above talks of Chelsea not looking to attack but I see it differently because without JT we have literally no choice.

As I posted it here, with Chelsea's lining up with a centre back pairing of Cahill and Ivanovic, we cannot look to keep things tight and frustrate PSG because they have the players and the pace to really hurt us.

I believe that Chelsea need to take our game, to take the pace and physicality of Premier League football to them, to test them, to force them backwards and use the pace and quality we have in attacking areas to cause them all sorts of problems.

The best form of defence is attack! Let's surprise everyone and give them something no one is expecting!
