According to reports, Loic Remy is preparing for life away from Chelsea this month as he looks for a move to another Premier League club. I am wondering given our current league position if you would sell him?
We have seen Remi Garde of Aston Villa openly admit that he wants to try and sign the French international striker if he was to become available and that has really annoyed Guus Hiddink who said:
“You have to respect where the players are. If you are interested, talk first to the people with whom they are contracted. You cannot go into details.”
The problem is, this doesn't change the situation with the player himself and the fact he used to work with Garde at Lyon could sway his decision to move on.
For me it's a difficult situation because Chelsea's lack of goals has been a real problem for us this season and Remy delivers time and time again. I just wonder whether or not he is the right fit for our team?
Think of Diego Costa, he can do everything up top. He can make runs in behind, he can make runs into the channels, he can play as a target man and hold the ball up or he can lead the line and take on defenders by himself. Loic Remy's game is just about making runs and that's why I think he isn't a regular starter here.
However, he does score goals and with Guus Hiddink stating that he is working with his midfielders to create and craft more goals for the strikers, Remy getting on the end of passing moves could be the answer the new Manager is looking for.
What do you people think? Would you sell Remy and give someone like Patrick Bamford a go instead?
