According to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, Manuel Pellegrini will consider his offers at the end of the season, which could include the Chelsea job. I am wondering what the Chelsea fans think of his possible appointment?
I want Pep Guardiola or Diego Simeone here next season, both very different personalities with very different managerial styles. Guardiola with the focus on beautiful attacking football and Simeone taking much more disciplined, hard-working approach to the game. How would you describe Pellegrini's style? A combination of both?
Without doubt, with the squad of players he has, Manchester City are excellent at going forward with some great players on their books who can produce moments of magic to win games. With Vincent Kompany at the helm holding everything together, they are normally a solid outfit. Without him however, they are at times all over the place defensively.
It's difficult to really consider the job that Pellegrini has done at City because if anything, it's similar to the record of Roberto Mancini. He has really taken the club forward? I am not so sure. OK, this season they have progressed in the Champions League but there is little to choose between them.
Is he therefore someone that the club should be looking to appoint to take over at the end of the season? No thanks, not for me.
What do you think?
