As we know, Eden Hazard's future at the end of the season has been up for debate with rumours that Real Madrid would come calling with a massive offer. Now, with a transfer ban being imposed on them over the next two transfer windows (from next summer), it seems that Hazard's dream move could be put on hold.
The transfer ban is massive and will have a major effect on the Spanish giants. Cristiano Ronaldo is being linked with a move away from Spain this summer but not being able to spend money to replace him with now force everyone there to re-evaluate their position with their current squad becoming the focus for at least another year.
So what of the news for Hazard in particular? As we know he has come under scrutiny from some sections of the Chelsea support having "removed" himself from the pitch due to injury against Leicester and again in our victory at Crystal Palace. The latter proved to be true however as Hazard has missed the run of games we have had since that game but it seems that he will need to win those supporters over upon his return.
He has had a poor season so far compared to last and has to deliver more for us as quickly as possible. There had been signs that Hazard had begun to do so of late but this injury has really hampered the player named as the Premier League Player of the Year last season.
We want to see Hazard back playing and somewhere near getting back to his best. We need Hazard to be taking control of games, taking people on and most importantly of all, scoring goals again as he has failed to register in the Premier League up to this point.
I cannot see Real Madrid looking to come in with a massive offer this month before the window closes, and before their transfer ban comes into effect. Eden Hazard needs to accept that his immediate future lies here at Stamford Bridge.
However, be sure that the likes of PSG will come in for him this summer to take advantage of the fact that Madrid will be unable to. I cannot see the Spanish side looking to offload Ronaldo to PSG now they are unable to replace him so Hazard seems to be the next best thing. Would a move back to France appeal to Eden Hazard or with hopefully a better second half of the season under his belt, would he decide to stay at Chelsea?
One thing is for sure. He will not be signing for Real Madrid for at least another season!
