According to reports, after his performance yesterday in the Chelsea U21's 5-0 victory - scoring in front of Guus Hiddink and Roman Abramovich, Charly Musonda has been promoted to the first team squad and could be named on the substitutes bench this weekend against Arsenal.
The young Belgian has a massive future ahead of him in the game and hopefully that will be with the Blues despite being watched by a whole host of names with an interest in signing him in the future.
For those of you that do not follow much of the Academy, have a watch of Musonda and his undoubted ability in the video below:
What a talent and "sources" at Chelsea already believe that he has the ability to be regular for Premier League sides that are outside the top four with a potential loan to a Premier League side being lined up before the transfer window closes.
If it was me, I would have given him a start already ahead of Pedro who let's face it, has done nothing since he arrived and looks a shadow of the player we had gotten used to seeing at Barcelona! Pedro picks the ball up, moves forward, stops and plays it sideways or backwards, we do not see him really drive at defenders to beat them and put them under pressure these days do we?
Charly Musonda has demonstrated time and time again in the video above that he believes in his ability, has the confidence to try it in games and is fearless so why have we not given him a first team game already?
If the reports are true and he is to be involved against Arsenal then that at least is a good sign. We are yet to find out if Eden Hazard is going to be match fit for the game on Sunday. If he isn't then I would start Musonda ahead of Pedro.
What do you think of the news of Musonda being promoted to the first team squad and would you like to see him given a start or at least some major involvement at some stage?
I have been following closely on the young star progress from Real Betis in Spain, which the future of the young star is bright. his ability to think quick on the ball and body movement. he is Chelsea future star
