This isn't the first time the 30 year-old PSG striker has been linked with Chelsea but in saying that, most of the big names in Europe are or have been previously. Being honest, this is a name I hadn't considered as part of a potential shake-up at the end of the season and I wondered if any of you felt the same?
There is little doubt of his quality and the fact that he is willing to work hard for the team however, I am sure there are other options we should be looking at trying to sign especially if we are to lose Eden Hazard in the summer. Someone such as Gareth Bale or Marco Reus are names I believe we need to be looking to sign instead but online betting has both of them either staying where they are or possibly moving for big money elsewhere? Our position and what has happened this season hasn't helped!
So what if there actually is any substance in these reports and Chelsea have already met the player and his representatives this past week? Where would he fit into Chelsea? His goalscoring record isn't fantastic but that's down to the fact that he normally plays out wide for Argentina and his club side.
I know we have on average a young squad and it's important to have players with plenty of experience throughout but surely we have that. Last season winning the Premier League and League Cup would have given vital experience to those who had not won them before and given them an insight to exactly what it takes throughout the course of a season to do so.
What do you people think of the link to Lavezzi? Is he someone you believe Chelsea SHOULD be interested in signing for the future?
