Speaking to Chelsea TV after the defeat to Leicester, after giving his honest and open interview to the Sky Cameras, Jose Mourinho express serious concerns about his players.
"Some of them need to rethink the way they live Chelsea, the way they live football, they live their job.
Chelsea is big, football is more than a job, it's a passion. Every match on the pitch you should live with an unbelievable passion.
How many millions would love to be football players and they can't be? You shouldn't waste any minutes on the pitch, you should enjoy every minute and you should give absolutely everything.
Yes, I feel frustrated with some players and I feel that some others give absolutely everything and don't deserve to lose."
He's right and although it's been a couple of days since the defeat on Monday night, his comments open up the debate as to who is he referring to? Why is their approach to this season different to that of last season?
Much of the focus has been on Jose Mourinho and some of you would think rightly so but I feel we are missing the point about the players. Everyone keeps harping on about sack the Manager but if these players have the issues Jose has referred to, then a new manager is going to have to face the same problems!
I have suggested it before on here but I believe the players should have been pulled in and made to account for themselves and their performances with the Owner and the Chelsea Board members.
It will be interesting to see if the club remains firm and back the manager in January, who is first out of the door!
What do you think to all this? How can someone who has just won the Premier League and FA Cup have a totally different attitude to the game literally months later?
