According to reports in the press, Guus Hiddink took it upon himself to make the journey into Cobham on Sunday to speak with Radamel Falcao whilst everyone else had the day off and it seems as if he is to be brought back into favour.
Now I know that people will have a divided opinion on Falcao but I cannot help but feel that he has not been given anywhere near enough sustained first team action in England since he arrived last season. Whether you want to focus on Manchester United or now at Chelsea, it's the same and I guess looking from the outside in it's hard to fathom based on his reputation and goalscoring record!
As we have seen in recent weeks, Chelsea are being linked with all sorts of names from Robin Van Persie, Christian Benteke, Karim Benzama and Emmanuel Adebayor but thinking about it, we surely have the answer in our squad already - Falcao.
Think of the solitary goal he has scored for Chelsea so far this season and you will realise that his instincts and his movement are still there! For whatever reason, Jose Mourinho felt that he couldn't trust him and he has been left out ever since he came back from injury.
We have all expressed our frustrations with Diego Costa this season although he is getting better of late. The way we play now, we need that goal poacher, the fox-in-the-box to get on the end of things, to gamble on crosses and most importantly of all, to hit the back of the net on a regular basis and Falcao really could be THE MAN for Guus Hiddink!
Whether that's alongside Diego Costa or in his place for the time being is yet to be seen but surely Chelsea need something different to unlock the door.
If Radamel Falcao can re-discover his goal-scoring touch under Guus Hiddink then it's win, win for Chelsea and he WILL help us climb up that Premier League table. If he doesn't then so be it.
What do you people think about the reports that Falcao could be back in favour as early as Watford on Boxing Day? If he re-discovers his goal touch, just how good to do you think he could be?
