According to various reports, Chelsea are preparing to spend big in January to bolster our squad as we look to climb the League table. Revealed are the names Jose Mourinho wants!
According to the London Evening Standard, here are the names of five players that Jose Mourinho has given the Chelsea board as we prepare for the January window.
What do you people think of the five-man shortlist believed to be given to the Chelsea board. Anyone on there you are happy to see us being linked with a move for? Anyone else that isn't?
Who do you want to see the club making a move for in January to improve our squad?
1. John Stones.
Yes, Jose Mourinho is determined to go back in for Stones in January and expect an offer of around £35m to be put in front of the Everton board straight away.
Chelsea's defensive frailties this season have become apparent and Stones is still regarded as the number one choice for Jose Mourinho.

2. Marquinhos.
Marquinhos is also well thought of by Mourinho and is believed to be the backup option to Stones if we are not able to sign him.
Quick and versatile, the Brazilian has already expressed his gratitude in being linked with a club like Chelsea previously and I wonder if Chelsea would have to settle for him and not Stones in January?

3. Alex Teixeira
The Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder is another player believed to be on Jose Mourinho's radar this January.
Another attacking midfielder I hear you ask and I feel the same but his goal scoring record is fantastic having scored nineteen goals in sixteen games already this season.

4. Alexandre Lacazette
Alexandre Lacazette has improved most of the European Scouts over the last twelve months despite Lyon's disappointing Champions League campaign so far.
Rumoured to have alerted the likes of Arsenal to his talent, Chelsea would need to move quickly in order to try and secure his services in January.
Right now, Chelsea are in drastic need of someone who can put the ball in the back of the net and Lacazette is defiantly someone who can do that!

5. Ruben Neves
Ruben Neves is someone who caught my eye in our Champions League game against Porto earlier in the season. A defensive midfielder who isn't afraid to go forward, Neves could become a main target for Mourinho as he looks to bolster that position heading into the second half of the season.
Stones looks a good long term bet. I've seen little or nothing of the other four so I have no idea but I can tell you who I would like to see; Loftus-cheek, Solanke and/or Bamford.......oh, I'd also try to tempt Southampton with an offer for Ryan Bertrand to finally sort our left back problem.
ReplyDeleteCarrasaco from Athletico Madrid would be fantastic asset, but as I have said before, build the team around our outstanding youth.
