One thing that really grates on me at the moment is hearing from ex-players who no longer have realistic ties with the club wade in with their opinions when we are struggling as we are.
Frank Leboeuf, the ex-Chelsea defender who I believe now lives in the USA has taken time out to give his opinion on our struggles at the moment and has chosen to follow a line that most of the media believe is the case - the third season.
When asked of our struggles, he said:
‘One gets the impression he has lost the dressing room.
That means, as usual, he has not been able to progress in the third year.’
It's so easy to state the third season as Mourinho's problem this term. Everyone harps on about it and more and more people seem to jump on the same bandwagon as each week passes.
I beg to differ with him and anyone else that is of the same opinion. You only have to look at recent performances to see that the players are with him and are as determined as Mourinho is to put things right.
If they were literally giving up in games, not playing well or demonstrating a lack of motivation then yes, I would have to believe that in certain quarters, maybe he had lost the some of the dressing room.
However, this is NOT the case and I am 100% certain that with a win against Norwich, Chelsea are more than capable of putting together another unbeaten run to take us right back up the league and back into contention for the Champions League places first and foremost, to then see where it takes us at the end of the season.
Third season my arse!
