Chelsea's best player of the season so far to be rewarded with new deal?

Without question, Willian has been Chelsea's player of the season so far. Despite our struggles, his form and goals have kept us going and according to reports, he is about to be rewarded with a new contract.

The £30m signing back in 2013 has really grown into Premier League football and to life at Chelsea and is one of the first names on Jose's team sheet as far as I am concerned as his willingness to work hard throughout ninety minutes has really impressed all of us.

Now, this season, Willian has added goals to his game and on a regular basis and has taken him to another level. If anything, his form is keeping Oscar out of the team and that's a credit to him.

Many people were of the opinion that players from South America would struggle to hold their own in England with the physicality and pace of our game. Ramires, Oscar and now Willian have proved that theory wrong as they demonstrate their willingness to get stuck in week in, week out.

A favourite with the Chelsea fans, news of a new extension to his current contract is fantastic news and let's hope that a deal can be agreed sooner rather than later!
