Chelsea linked to European goal-scoring sensation who wants to work with Jose Mourinho.

Alex Teixeira has scored 23 goals in as many games this season and has revealed that he wants to work with Jose Mourinho. It's no surprise that we are now being linked with him.

Chelsea's problem this season has been goals and everyone knows that so it comes as no surprise that in the January transfer window and beyond, Chelsea are being linked with plenty. However, as we have seen over the years, it has to be the right type of striker here otherwise they will struggle, is Alex Teixeira the right man?

Speaking recently, he said:

“I’m glad to have received that proposal from Chelsea, they’re a great club in Europe.

What I’ve seen, and what my manager has said, is that Chelsea, Juventus and PSG made offers. But Chelsea and Juventus are deeper into negotiations.

They’re three big clubs. Wherever I go, I’ll be happy.

It’s my dream [to go to England]. I’ve spoken to many people who have the desire to play in the Premier League, because I think it’s the best in the world, more contested, and I want to have this challenge in my career.

I think it’ll be very difficult in January because it is in the middle of the championship. Shakhtar have said they won’t let me leave in January, only at the end of the season.

I hope he doesn’t leave Chelsea now. I want to work with him and have great success at his side.

Reports suggest that it will cost Chelsea around £30m to sign him next summer and I wonder if Jose would prefer to look at an alternative?
