The Blues currently occupy third place in Group G, a point behind the second-placed Ukrainians, and although a win would see the two teams swap positions, Mourinho suggests avoiding defeat will be the hosts' priority.
Dynamo Kiev Team News
Kiev is at full strength for the trip to west London with no first-team absentees.
Dynamo Kiev Starting XI Prediction
Buyalsky | Silva, Khacheridi, Dragovic, Vida | Rybalka, Ngcongca, Buyalsky, Yarmolenko, Gonzalez | Kravets
Previous Meeting
20 October 2015
Dynamo Kiev 0-0 Chelsea
Chelsea fans would suggest the Premier League champions dropped two points last time out in European competition. The Blues struggled to finish off their chances, with Eden Hazard and Willian both hitting the woodwork. Dynamo Kiev also had opportunities to find the back of the net, but were equally wasteful in a scrappy 0-0 encounter in the Ukrainian capital.
Last Meeting
Dynamo Kiev 0-0 Chelsea (Champions League, October 2015)
Score Prediction
The Blues' mortifying capitulation at home to Liverpool last Saturday still aches ahead of our fourth Champions League group stage fixture. Although we produced the same toothless display that has become the norm this season, the reverse fixture against Kiev proved they certainly have the firepower to take all three points from Stamford Bridge.
Nearly a dozen fixtures is more than enough for the table to somewhat resemble the end of season standings. We're 15th in the Premier League after 11 matches and regardless of wha Mourinho or his supporters say, we don't deserve to be any higher based on our performances.
Our strength on paper is no longer an easy excuse to assume to we can push aside teams of the Ukrainians' pedigree. Unless we can muster a vastly improved performance to any we have produced so far this campaign, it'll be tough going taking anything more than a draw on Thursday evening.
I think this one will end 1-1. What are your score predictions?

i am a true Chelsea fan, if jos refused to use baba, we will lose this match, why did he buy a player he can not use, baba is till better than zuma @ right back, jos think very well, he risk both the right and the left, Azpilicueta @ left back, can you count how many crosses have he cross since the league started, how can he assist Hazard, @ right back zuma is just a right off, big mistake @right back, if you do not trust baba why not use matic @ left back, he is a left footed player and a defense minded player, jos just say you are tired of Chelsea then resign no pay off, let this players express them self.............
ReplyDeleteJose, will continue to do thing,s,how he want,s to,,and how can we question someone, with the record he has,I see nothing but a good win for us tonight, just the start of a much/needed upturn in our season.,,,and from the latest media/chit,chat,,it seems he has, thankfully, the full/backing of RA,,who has fired, many a good manager, for less...at last we hear from a number of players,re,their support for Jose,,and they like us/fans,,are at al loss for an explanation,as to what, is/has,been happening on/off the field, at the Club...we still have one of the game,s top/manager,s,,and some of the top/player,s,here at CFC,,it,s time for us all to support both, and get through this...the past,is just that,,,it,s what happens next,we have to deal with now,,we older/fans,have been through the, like this many time,s,over the decades,,,let,s all move on,to the good time,s,that will come again, with I hope Jose,KTBFFH..
ReplyDeleteHear hear. On holiday so can't be at the game but I hope the blues faithful raise the roof in support of the team and manager.
ReplyDeleteI can only theorise as to what JM has been through with the life threatening series of events to his dad but to say it must have been a massive worry and distraction is an understatement.
If it's also true that some/several players have been acting up while collecting their grossly inflated salaries I'm both sickened and saddened. I hope those players become common knowledge as I'm sure fans like me would love to give them the stick they richly deserve and see them away from our club.
José needs to change some of his behaviour but I so hope he stays and builds a huge, stable dynasty to surpass Fergus on.

DeleteAlright for some being on holiday at this time of year. I thought it was you from reading the post - as sure as I am that the post above yours is Oldblueboy1 (positive content + unique punctuation).
DeleteHave things got so bad that you've both gone undercover?
Yep, oldblueboy1 for definite. I can't speak for our friend but rather than undercover I'm sorry to say it's cos I'm technology challenged in that the site wouldn't publish the post from here without the Google sign in!
DeleteSo, Bond, my cover is blown and a VERY old pic included to boot.
Oh well, at least we won :)
Brilliant result at last, and hopefully we can build on this, but some big concerns.
ReplyDelete1. Costa has lost it - he is not Drogba - his positional play, confidence, diving etc, has deteriorated - could not see him scoring a goal tonight.
2. JM tactical decisions at 60 mins - we were flat, not creating any chances or testing their defence. No change until they scored. What happened to the Jose of old ?
3. Fabregas/Oscar second half performance - both disappeared. Why not make a change earlier than 70+ mins.
4. Ramires - Noway is he as good as LFC - get him playing pleasse JM ! I want to see hime alongside Matic.
One positive - Baba played well - brilliant cross to set up Willian for the first goal. With Azi charging down the right wing, we looked far more balances. Zouma was excellent, except he couldn't score from 3 yards out.
ReplyDeleteGood news is our defence looked more balanced and the wind backs are starting to offer width.
nice post ,really enjoy reading here
