Chelsea Champions League Hero cannot believe mess we are in!

Petr Cech has given his thoughts on Chelsea's struggles this season and has admitted that he cannot believe what has happened in such a short space of time.

As with many of us, Cech is scratching his head trying to work out what has happened to his former club who back in May celebrated winning the Premier League for a fourth time.

He said:

"It makes me surprised. It's a team that six months ago won the league.

Players stayed there, the coach added more to his liking. It is very hard to believe that the club is in such a state.

I was surprised to see their suffering at the beginning of the league, but I was even more taken aback by the fact that the crisis still continues."

As I said we all agree that we cannot seem to work out what has gone wrong here but I disagree with Cech when he talks of the coach adding more players to his liking - I believe he didn't and as a result, some were brought in as a compromise.

In recent days we have seen talk of Michael Emenalo finding his position under threat for failing to bring in the players the boss wanted. I just wonder how the club will approach the January transfer window now?

Plenty of people will call for Cech to come back or being someone we should never have sold but at the time the deal was right for everyone. No-one could have ever imagined that we would lose Courtois for most of the season so far with his knee injury.

Let's hope that starting against Norwich on Saturday, Chelsea can pick themselves up and get on that winning run of games we need to climb back up that table!
