Argentine Striker linked with Chelsea - AGAIN

Expect all sorts of rumour and speculation to come between now and the close of the January transfer window. Gonzalo Higuain is being linked with Chelsea yet again!

Granted, he is a top player, scores goals and already has eleven goals to his name this season so far. He had emerged as a major talent during this time at Real Madrid where for some reason, he could not establish himself as the main striker despite an incredible scoring record.

I say that he is being linked with Chelsea again because a couple of summers ago it was exactly the case but he decided to move to Italy and rejected the chance to come to the Premier League.

So what of this new link according to Fichajes ?

I personally think there is nothing in it and it's just speculation or here say. However, I would love to see Higuain come to the Premier League to see if he could demonstrate the same scoring record that he has in Spain and now in Italy.

As we have seen recently with Radamel Falcao, it's one thing to do it in other European Leagues, the Premier League is very, very different and if you are not up to the pace and physical nature of our League you WILL struggle.

As I say, I believe this is pure speculation and if anything, maybe his agent is touting his name around to try and get him and his client more money in their pockets!
