What do YOU think of Jose Mourinho given the "Vote of confidence" by Chelsea?
Chelsea have publicly backed Jose Mourinho with a written statement on the Official Chelsea Website and have put an end to the heightene...

I have to admit, after writing my analysis of what is wrong with the Football Club at the moment (being EVERYTHING! - Check out the article here!), I still felt in the back of my mind that Roman Abramovich would pull the trigger based on previous history with Managers that have struggled. You could even go as far as to say that Liverpool expected it and sacked Brendan Rodgers secretly hoping to lure the Special One but that's not going to happen - not just yet anyway!
Yesterday morning the Daily Mail had reported that Jose had survived a crisis board meeting called within hours of the final whistle against Southampton and claimed that Chelsea were ready to back their manager but in saying that, I still felt that unless we heard otherwise officially from the club, anything could happen.
So to yesterdays statement released by the club. It reads:
"Club believes in manager and squad.
The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support.
As Jose has said himself, results have not been good enough and the team's performances must improve. However, we believe that we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad with which to do it."
Credit to them for doing so to at least put a stop to the ridiculous reports that were making the rounds on Sunday and yesterday. They back Mourinho and have obviously listened to the interview he gave to SkySports after the game which will go down as one of those defining moments in Premier League history.
However, within the statement, for me the message is clear. Our results MUST improve and the club believes they have the manager and players to do that. If they cannot improve, then expect a change to be made.
What do you people reading this post make of the statement? Do you agree with it and the timing of it? Do you think that there has been too many changes of the years and the board is right to stick by Jose Mourinho this time?
It's important that everything calms down now. We have the international break and just under two weeks until we play Aston Villa.
Let's hope in these two weeks, something happens to turn our season around. God help us if it doesn't!
All well and good the board backing JM, but what about the teams lack of intent? one would have thought by their lack of effort on goal, their refusal to get around the back of the oppo defence and create chances, instead of playing in front of the oppo and not having a shot on goal, looks more like the players are making a statement.
