FABREGAS ON COSTA AND BEATING ARSENAL

Cesc Fabregas has backed Diego Costa and has been speaking of beating Arsenal and what it means for our season. With all this crap going on in the media about non-football related issues, it's good to get back on track and talk about the victory over Arsenal instead!

First to Diego Costa and Fabregas backs him in addition the Chelsea fans. He said:

“He’s very competitive, it’s good, he’s hungry for success and to win all the time.

You can see the fans love him as well, they get behind him all the time so it’s great for us.”

So to beating Arsenal after a disappointing start to our Premier League title defence this season so far. It was a good performance and an all-important three points. He said:

"I’m happy for the victory, that’s the main thing. We were on a bad run and now we are playing better, confidence is higher, we don’t want to stop here.


We went into a bad run, every team has one in a season and hopefully we’ve had ours. We’ve taken off and we hope this is just the beginning of what will be a big season for us.”

If we focus on the game itself, it was a good performance. As I stated in my match report HERE, Jose Mourinho got his tactics spot on whereas Arsene Wenger got them wrong and that was the difference.

It's amazing what two wins in the space of four days can do for your confidence and as Fabregas says, it looks as though our season has started and we have taken off - onwards and upwards as quickly as possible.

Let's hope the bad start is the only blip we will have this season and we can get ourselves on another incredible run!
