In signing Pedro Rodriguez, Jose Mourinho finally has a natural balance to the Chelsea side for the first time since the days of Arjen Robben and Damian Duff!
Think about it, think about the years since they both left the club and think of the players that have played down the wings for us! We struck gold with Eden Hazard but apart from him, we have had to pretty much ask players to almost fill-in or to play a role that is naturally not their game.
Within minutes of kick-off against West Brom we just looked so much better balanced, we looked fluid and it was so good to see. Think about the attacking three we have now, Hazard one side, Pedro the other and a toss up between Cesc Fabregas, Oscar and Willian for the number ten role (depending on the opposition as far as Fabregas is concerned for me).
Do me a favour, take ten minutes out of your day and watch the individual highlights of the Pedro performance on Sunday and tell me I am wrong! You will see exactly what I mean and it's really, really exciting with endless potential in my eyes.
Pedro is quick with and without the ball, he is two-footed, he is skillful and most importantly of all, he has an eye for a goal. To score on his debut is MASSIVE for him personally and for the Chelsea supporters because it will help him settle in.
Jose Mourinho has demonstrated once again that for the most part, he is very shrewd in the transfer market. Just look at the talent and the ability we now have available this season in those attacking areas. If everyone clicks, just imagine where it could take us!
What did you all think of Pedro's debut and the exciting potential we now have here? Do you agree with me that we now look to have natural balance since the last time we had which was back in the days of Duff and Robben?
Post your comments I would love to hear from as many people as possible on this!
Pedro Rodriguez - What a signing for Chelsea!
