OFFICIAL - FALCAO SIGNS SEASON LONG LOAN - YOUR THOUGHTS?

"I am very happy to be joining Chelsea and can't wait to start training and help with our aim of retaining the league title and being successful in Europe."

That was Radamel Falcao's message after Chelsea have just confirmed that terms have been agreed with Monaco for a season long loan deal with it being reported that the player has halved his wages to do so.

Plenty of people have an opinion on Falcao and after the disaster in Manchester, it's clear that the player feels that he has everything to prove in the Premier League. The fact he has halved his wage demands proves the point.

Chelsea fans will forever remember Monaco and the Super Cup Final when, playing for Atletico Madrid, Falcao tore Chelsea to shreds scoring FOUR goals against us. All of us hope that he can re-discover form like that at Stamford Bridge this year.

We have to believe that an arrangement has been made between Chelsea and Monaco for the permanent transfer of the player next summer, or at least first option with a specific fee in mind no matter how well Falcao does for us this season.

Many will have their doubts but hopefully the majority will understand that form is only temporary and class is permanent.

I believe under Jose Mourinho, Radamel Falcao will be a massive success this season as we look to challenge in ALL competitions!
