This is the report that most of us have seen of late and I wonder just how much substance this really has? It's not the first time that Oscar has been linked with a move from Chelsea but for Isco? I seriously doubt that Real Madrid would be looking to sell.
The bloody Oscar rumour just does not seem to want to go away. We have heard that Juventus have identified Oscar as the man to replace the Andrea Pirlo who has moved to New York City FC with David Villa and Frank Lampard. Identifying him as a target is one thing, being able to seal the deal is another and I seriously doubt that Chelsea (like Real for Isco) would want to do business.
I personally believe that Jose Mourinho rates Oscar despite the fact that it seems to always be Oscar that is replaced during games or rotated out of the starting eleven. We saw that happen again last season but let's not forget that he has played in the World Cup last summer.
A bid of around £35m could tempt Chelsea into considering a deal but even still, It would come down to Jose Mourinho's decision and based on the players ability and work rate, I personally think he would want to hold onto him.
So what about Isco to Chelsea? I really can't see it happening and would have my own personal reservations as to whether or not he could cut it in the Premier League.
There is little doubt of his class and ability but that's La Liga where for 3/4 of the season you face teams who are far inferior to Madrid. Could he cut it in our league week in, week out?
Any deal for Isco is going to cost Chelsea a packet anyway as Madrid and Rafa "the Gaffer" would not want to let him go without some form of compensation having signed him two seasons ago. If Chelsea sold Oscar for £35m for example, I would expect the bulk of that to be spent on Isco to force Madrid into selling.
If it was my decision? I would keep Oscar!
What would you people do?
Will prefer to keep Oscar
ReplyDeleteSell him has has been good 1/2 a season as best we can cash in and move on to someone else; I would much rather see Oscar + Ca$h for Pogba
