I am troubled because of the reports that Diego Costa has contacted representatives from Atletico Madrid claiming that he is "desperate" for a return to Spain having failed to settle down in England. What do you people think?
I guess when you sign foreign players who have never lived in England, you always take a risk with them. You hope that you settle into the club, integrated with the squad and eventually into the first team. We never really take into consideration their personal situation outside of football.
We have to take these reports both ways as far as I am concerned and hope that if there has been a struggle with Costa learning the language and getting used to life in England, the club are doing all they can to help him and hopefully, rectify the problems.

You have to believe that the player has a responsibility to make an effort if everyone else is putting things in place for him. Being honest, I am surprised that he still doesn't speak a word of English and that could be the underlying problem.
It's all well and good to be able to communicate with the Spanish speaking players and Brazilians here but you earn your money in England and should be able to do the same with the English speaking players.
If anything, learning the language and making the effort means a lot to your team mates that cannot speak your language. It shows a willingness to want to learn and be a part of things.
We often hear from the other players that Diego Costa is the joker in the pack and is really funny. He has established a way to communicate with people without speaking English - for example he calls JT "Capitano". There comes a point however when you really need to be speaking broken or even basic English and now we have reached the end of the season he should be there or thereabouts.
These reports could be way off of the mark and just pure speculation after the fantastic season he has had here and Spanish Newspaper Marca is just trying to incite speculation throughout the summer. I hope it is the case.
So what is YOUR opinion on these Costa reports? Do you think there is substance behind them and if he has made contact with Atletico would you let him go? Who should replace him if that happens? What about this guy?
