All eyes will be on Munich tomorrow night as Barcelona take on Juventus in the Champions League Final. For some of us, it will be eyes on Paul Pogba; a reported Chelsea target.
Heading into the game you can understand that Pogba wants to focus on his football and preparation for the biggest game of his club career so far. Being honest, I believe Barcelona will win this game with ease and it will be interesting to see just how Pogba copes with their quick passing and pressing game.
Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has used the build up to the game as the perfect time to highlight Pogba and the fact that it could be his last game for Juventus. He said:
"Could it be his last game with Juve?
Theoretically, yes. The transfer window is open until September 2. We’ll see.
Offers are already coming in, but they’ve all been sidelined. Juventus don’t want to sell him, so anyone who wants him will have to go out and buy him.
The price depends on who buys him, but Juve must make it an auction. His transfer would be one of the most expensive in history.
He’s certainly one of the most expensive players in the world, he’s a special young player and has something more than the others.
I’m convinced that we’ve not even seen the best of what he can do yet.”
You almost get the impression this guy is looking forward to his percentage of any future transfer fee isn't he. The way he talks about him being one of the most expensive players in the world and almost stating that to buy him, you will need to bid at an auction is ridiculous.
You have to imagine that it is going to be a figure close to that of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid in order for Juventus to consider selling. Does Chelsea have that kind of money to spend on just one player? Is Paul Pogba worth it?
It's the biggest stage tomorrow night and you are looking for players who are being touted as the best or the most wanted in Europe to step up and perform. It's going to be hard for Pogba and his team mates in my opinion.
Are there better options for Chelsea to consider? I believe there are at a much cheaper price or even nothing at all if you were to consider someone returning to the club like Oriol Romeu.
Is Paul Pogba worth as much as his agent believes him to be? I guess we will find out tomorrow!
