Patrick Bamford is back at Chelsea this summer and all of us are waiting to see what happens. He has won the Championship Player of the Year award and pleaded for a chance at Chelsea but it looks like that's not going to happen.
Reports have surfaced over the weekend (and I have to state that they could be false) that Chelsea have stuck a £10m price tag on his head for any interested parties in signing him. I am asking you the Chelsea fans whether or not you believe we should sell him?
You have to imagine that someone in the Premier League or even the "bigger" clubs in the Championship will come forward with offers for his services and it's going to be interesting to see if they accept. Why put a price tag on someone if you intend to keep them?
The one question over Bamford is whether or not he can continue his goalscoring exploits in the Premier League if given the chance? No one will ever know unless that give that to him!
I personally believe that if Middlesborough had won the Playoff Final to be promoted to the Premier League then his loan period would have been extended for another season as Aitor Karanka would have given him that exposure. They didn't and now Chelsea are faced with a problem.
Bamford has had successful loan spells in the Championship with Derby and now Middlesborough and has nothing left to prove in that division. He now has to prove he can do the same in the Premier League.
Should Chelsea give him that chance as our third choice striker, loan him out again or sell him?
