I guess that comes from the fact that we are CHAMPIONS and have won the league early and the Chelsea fans last night obviously felt the same. As you can see in the photo above, Jose Mourinho made a point of walking over to our fantastic support to acknowledge them after signing their hearts out despite being beaten.
For a full forty-five minutes in the second half all you could here was the Chelsea fans signing "We've won the League, we've won the League" whilst clapping away and they never stopped. Even after the final whistle, they carried on expect more of the same on Sunday.
So to his interview after the game and Jose once again calls it as he sees it and I wonder if you agree with him?
He said:
"The ideal scenario is to be champions and don’t play again, go home and have holidays.
When you have three more matches – it can happen with Bayern Munich – three defeats in three and we claim one point in two.
When you play since August with motivation and commitment and feeling the pressure, when you are champions you breathe and everything changes.
It is difficult to play. Let’s blame the players a bit, myself and the top contenders for the title as they were not good enough to fight with us. This is a consequence of being champions so early.”
This weeks press conferences from the other managers should be interesting!
