When asked in his press conference yesterday, Jose Mourinho refused to answer but I wanted to hear the opinion's of others as to his previous comments about Arsenal and Manchester City. Do you agree with the special one?
You can point out that what he says is fact and there is really no argument if we are being brutally honest however, as expected, Arsene Wenger and Manuel Pellegrini have taken offence.
Arsenal & Wenger.
This all started by the fans at the Emirates singing "Boring, Boring Chelsea" and after the game when asked of his opinion of what the home supporters were signing, Jose Mourinho stated that it's boring to not win a Premier League title in ten years. Is that wrong or right?
Arsene Wenger responded yesterday by saying:
“The biggest thing for a manager is to respect each other and some people have to improve on that.
“Everybody lives with his own internal problems and I live with mine. That is enough.”
So it's obvious that he has got under the Frenchman's skin for the second time in a number of seasons as let's not forget, last year Mourinho labelled him a "specialist in failure".
I guess we can only ask the Arsenal fans if they agree that to not win the Premier League for that amount of time is boring?
Manchester City & Pellegrini.
Jose Mourinho has openly stated that rather than being fined, Manchester City should have been docked points this season for their breach of the new Financial Fair Play rules and I agree. I can't see what is wrong with him saying that
Manuel Pellegrini responded yesterday by saying:
“Every manager can say what he wants about Financial Fair Play rules.
We didn’t lose points because we didn’t deserve to.
There are so many things he always says that don’t matter, about Chelsea or referees or the FA Cup or other managers or other things.”
"We didn't deserve to" - well that's a joke because after an investigation your club was found guilty! What is a fine going to do to harm City with all the money they have now? Literally nothing but put on hold there financial investments or restrict their transfer activity for a while until they can start spending heavily again.
A points penalty would of had much more of an effect on City and for anyone else who ignore the new financial rulings set in place. Chelsea haven't ignored them and in fact, will be the first team in eight season to win the Premier League by making a profit!
I don't see what Jose Mourinho has said as wrong. Do you?
