The whole Gareth Bale to Chelsea rumour continues to do the rounds as each week passes and you have to wonder if there is any substance to it. This week the press would have you believe that there actually is!
Now I have seen Bale recently feature for Real Madrid and he doesn't look anywhere near the same person as last season. Something has happened there and it's causing a real problem with his game.
We had read reports earlier in the season that the supporters had begun to turn on him for poor performances in key games. We have also read reports that he had his car vandalised by the Real Madrid fans after one of those games - Barcelona.
We have read reports that he had fallen out with Cristiano Ronaldo despite the latter denying publicly that was the case. However, you only have to look at how Ronaldo has treated Chicarito there to see that there may have been something of substance in the Bale reports.
Now, finally, we hear that after nearly two seasons at Madrid, Bale is struggling with the language and hasn't learned Spanish. As a result, he is being ignored by his team mates and held out of favour.
As I said, Body language is key here and you can tell an awful lot as to how a player is feeling not just after one game but after a couple and Bale does not seem happy at all. He is starting games so that can't be the issue - there has to be more than we are being told.
So the continuous rumours that state Chelsea are monitoring his situation. Well, having won the Champions League and the Super Cup, Bale only has La Liga to try and win now despite that looking over after results this past weekend.
The one major trophy Bale has missing is the Premier League trophy and I believe given the chance and an opportunity to come back to England with that being London in particular, he would be tempted.
If he left Real Madrid it wouldn't be as a failure. He had the chance to go there and took it. The only blot on his dream season was missing out on La Liga to Atletico last season. He played a key role in Madrid winning "La Decima" - their tenth European Cup win, more than any other club.
I can't help but think that there is real substance to the Bale to quit Madrid reports and it could be to West London with Chelsea.
What do you people think? Would you take him?
