MATIC: Was his performance against Stoke his best for a couple of weeks?

Talking with my family yesterday we all thought that against Stoke, Nemanja Matic looked like he was getting back to somewhere near his best and his performance was better than recent weeks. I am interested to hear what you people think?

As we know Matic missed a couple of games through suspension for his reaction to Ashley Barnes' tackle and subsequent sending off, then after being injured during our League Cup Final celebrations.

I guess you will always need a game or so to get back into the swing of things but for Matic it has taken longer than expected.

However on Saturday evening, Matic was dominant in midfield and provided Chelsea with the perfect screen in front of their back four. He was everywhere and covered the ground demonstrating confidence and authority and that's what I liked to see.

Let's not forget he did THIS for Serbia last week!

I know this is short and sweet but I just wondered what you the Chelsea fan reading this post thought of Matic's performance?

Do you think he is getting back to his best?
