Having been heavily linked with a move from Chelsea this summer, Oscar has hit back at the rumours and has insisted that he is more than happy at Chelsea.
Oscar has been linked with the likes of Juventus and Liverpool in recent weeks and it seems as though this story would run and run into the summer.
I myself had posted on here about Oscar previously, bearing in mind that he is one of the most substituted Chelsea players this season. I thought that the manager may not be having him or sees Oscar as potentially disposable this summer for the likes of Paul Pogba.
However, speaking to SkySports ahead of their Saturday Night Football programme tomorrow night, Oscar responded to the speculation surrounding his future and said:
"I'm very happy here. I get along with everyone, and the club shows its praise towards me. Chelsea is one of the best clubs in the world, so I don't see why I would think of leaving.
I'm very happy with Chelsea's season so far and happy with my own performance as well, but I do think I could have contributed more to the team.
There are different tactics depending on the opponents we face, and we respect the manager's choices. Sometimes I've ended up not playing the entire match, but I'm doing my best to fulfil my role."Isn't it refreshing to hear someone put the team first and very humble at that. I'm loving the fact that Oscar states that the players respect the managers choices even if it means they do not play or start the games. That shows a togetherness, fighting for the same cause and that's been the basis of the successful season we have had so far.
The key point to remember is how young Oscar still is. He is at the best club for him to develop playing for the best manager in the world who will take him further so you can understand why he talks so favourably about the club.
I really hope Oscar can come up with a couple of important goals between now and the end of the season to re-establish himself in Jose's first team starting tomorrow.
As for the rumours? You and I both know, they will carry on but at least we know now where the player himself sees his future!
