In two days time, Chelsea take on PSG in the round of sixteen, second leg of the Champions League having drawn 1-1 in Paris three weeks ago.
Ahead of the game, David Luiz has given a quotation about the Boss that is sure to prompt a reaction from Jose Mourinho during his press conference tomorrow night.
When asked of Jose and taking on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Luiz said:
"He is special for you, not for me. I had some great moments at Chelsea and won a lot of titles. I was very happy.
They are having a great season, defend well and have great players but above all I know my team. We will try to score there and play like we know how.
We will have a good game plan and implement it the best way possible to achieve a great performance. Both can still qualify."
As I said, I am sure that his quote will spark a reaction from the boss tomorrow night and it will be interesting to see just where Luiz is played on Wednesday night. We will see him in the middle of midfield as he was in Paris or will Laurent Blanc decide to pair him with Thiago Silva at the heart of the visitors defence?
There is obvious tension between the two but at the end of the day, not one person would have turned their nose up at a bid at the time of £50m to take him to Paris, especially after his performance in the World Cup next to Silva against Germany!
The game moves on and players come and go. David Luiz was fantastic for Chelsea and played a huge part in the successes we had when he was here.
Thiago Silva has also been talking about the return to Stamford Bridge for David Luiz and believes that he should receive a fantastic reception from the fans. He said:
"David is very excited to go back to Chelsea. He had great memories there, he helped them to win the Champions League — so I would be very surprised if the Chelsea fans gave him anything other than a fantastic reception.
He is a winner though, yes he has good memories of Chelsea, but his only objective will be to knock them out — and for us to progress.
Mark my words here. Luiz and his team mates will come up against a very different Chelsea team with a different approach at Stamford Bridge and he could be in for a very, very long night!
Let's just see who is the special one after the game!
