As we head into the final stages of the Premier League season, expect the rumour mill to run full swing. One of the players being linked with a move away from Chelsea again is Petr Cech.
It's been a long season but to his credit, Petr Cech has remained focused on being ready whenever he has been called upon this season. When he has been, Cech has been rock solid including that amazing save from Romelu Lukaku against Everton and in the League Cup Final which was a really nice touch from Jose Mourinho.
So to Madrid and the obvious need for a new Goalkeeper. We all sat and watched the Madrid performance against Schalke two weeks ago and for me Iker Casillas is in the twilight of his career now.
As with any summer transfer window, you would expect Real Madrid to spend money and for the most part this season we have read that David De Gea of Manchester United was believed to be a major target for them.
However, as being reported in Spain here, it seems that the Spanish giants could turn to Chelsea's number two. Would he jump at the chance to move to one of the biggest clubs in the world? Of course he would.
Petr Cech in my opinion deserves be to given the freedom to do what he wants this summer after being a fantastic servant for our club through the most successful period of our history.
If that is to leave Chelsea and move to Real Madrid then so be it!
